Henri-Michel Yéré, lecturer at the University of Basel and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne has been awarded the Rotary - PEN Club International Award for his poetry book “Polo kouman/Polo parle” published in 2023. The book is written in both Nouchi and French and draws on the most private aspects of both languages. Blending past, present and future “Polo kouman/Polo parle” demonstrates that poetry possesses the power of transcending the linearity of time and multiplying our visions.
The awards were presented for the first time at the Bedford Hotel in Paris on October 4, 2024.
